The music stays thrilling and high-quality\, while the environment is adapted to support ease and access. \nHere\, you’ll find ASL interpreters\, adjusted lighting\, flexible seating\, and dedicated chill-out spaces. Noise-reducing headphones will be available—but those with sensitive ears be aware: the Wind Ensemble will still bring plenty of lively\, circus-sized sound! \nKey features of this concert will include: \n\nWelcoming Atmosphere: A judgment-free zone where typical strict concert etiquette (like staying silent or sitting still) does not apply.\n\n\nFreedom of Movement: Audience members can enter/leave the hall freely\, move around\, and vocalize during the performance.\n\n\nSensory Adjustments: House lights will be kept dimmed rather than turned off\, and noise-dampening headphones will be available to reduce sound intensity. Please help keep our performance space scent free.\n\n\nSupportive Amenities: Availability of ASL interpretation and quiet rooms for breaks.\n\nBreaking Circus Collective is a collection of contemporary circus artists working out of Kjipuktuk (Halifax\, NS). DESCRIPTION:An evening of solo and chamber music by Fountain School faculty member Matthias McIntire\, featuring his multi-media song cycle sing nature alive from my insides. Created in collaboration with soprano/pianist/poet Rachel Fenlon and filmmaker Jamie McMillan\, the cycle explores a deep love for nature and growing fear of climate change. DESCRIPTION:Michael Cloud Duguay  is a Peterborough\, Ontario-based musician\, producer\, and composer known for his prolific and far-reaching collaborative studio and performance projects as well as his singular and highly innovative approach to record production. Open Waters 2026 will present the premier of ‘Song for Omar’\, composed while MCD was artist in residence Gamli Skóli in Hrisey\, Iceland in January\, 2023\, arranged by Andrew MacKelvie\, and performed by members of Halifax-based ensemble\, Many Worlds. ‘Song for Omar’ was composed as a promise to a Hrisey local in exchange for a secret recipe and inspired by the polar stratospheric clouds filling the sky above that island.

DESCRIPTION:A short opera buy Michael Donovan with libretto by Monica Pearce \nFeaturing Maureen Batt\, Sopranot as Caroline Herschel \nCaroline’s Sweeper follows Caroline Herschel\, 16th century comet huntress\, as she discovers eight comets. Largely overshadowed by the success of her astronomer brother William Herschel\, she was the first woman to receive a salary as a scientist and was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society. In this chamber opera\, Caroline Herschel’s life and work is unfolded through a series of vignettes exploring her astronomical discoveries. \nComposed by Michael Donovan with libretto by Monica Pearce\, Caroline’s Sweeper was commissioned by Maureen Batt with support from the Canada Council for the Arts. \nTickets: $22.34-$38.09
