SUMMARY:Adrianna Ciccone & Ellen Gibling
DESCRIPTION:Fiddler Adrianna Ciccone and harpist Ellen Gibling perform a program shaped by Irish and Appalachian traditions\, blending original music with time-honoured favourites. In a sensory-friendly setting\, the performance moves between slower\, calming pieces and more upbeat sets with steady\, repeating patterns and clear musical lines. Highlights include “The Limerick Lamentation\,” “North Country Waltz” and “The Geese in the Bog / Mrs. O’Sullivan’s / Liz Carroll’s\,” alongside original pairings like “The Back of Winter / The Cavers of Kirkcudbright” and “The Golden Goose / Mon Poisson.” Ciccone was raised in the Ottawa Valley fiddle tradition and is greatly inspired by Québécois fiddling. She graduated from Berklee College of Music\, and her debut album won Instrumental Artist of the Year at the 2015 Canadian Folk Music Awards. Gibling is a harpist whose music spans classical\, Irish traditional\, and improvised genres. Her 2022 solo album “The Bend in the Light” has been called bold\, beautiful\, and enchanting\, and her 2024 duo album with Ciccone\, “The Pear Tree\,” has earned praise for its genuine\, heartfelt sound. This free concert welcomes everyone. You are invited to settle in\, take in the sound at your own pace\, and enjoy live music in a comfortable\, supportive environment. \n\n\nThe Sensory-Accessible Concerts series is made possible through the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts\, the J&W Murphy Foundation\, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia\, the Harrison McCain Foundation\, the Craig Foundation\, the Unity for Autism Foundation\, the Cecilia Concerts Season Sponsor Nice Moves / Red Door Realty\, and our presenting partner the Halifax Public Libraries. We appreciate the gifts from the many individual donors who continue to support this important initiative.

SUMMARY:Chloe Eden & Ella Gunning Parker
DESCRIPTION:Chloe and Ella met for the first time on The Carleton stage and are very excited to now be headlining their very own show featuring their individual original music\, covers and even songs written as a duo.   \nChloe Eden is a 16 year old Singer/songwriter who aims to have people relaxed but moved emotionally during her performances. Using her warm vocals and piano melodies\, Chloe creates emotional ballads that take inspiration from a variety of artists like Adele and Lizzy Mcalpine. Chloe has been involved in music all her life\, but started writing her own music a little over 2 years ago\, through lots of hard work and mentoring from amazing musicians and songwriters\, she has performed in many musical settings such as\, the Carleton\, Kempt Shore Acoustic Festival\, and more. She is also a finalist for the 2026 Halifax\, Canada Teen Jam Showcase. Chloe feels she has developed a strong sound and loves to share it with others.   \nElla Gunning Parker is a 16-year-old singer songwriter from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada with a pop/folk sound. She is a semi finalist in the teen category for the 2023 & 2024 International Songwriting Competition. Three of her releases have reached the top 10 on the CIOE East Coast Top 30\, two have reached the number one spot. The Youth Musician Commission of Massey Hall & Roy Thompson Hall have recognized her latest single Look Alive as the 1st place winner in their 2025 Youth Composition Competition. Ella is nominated for Young Performer of the Year for the 2025 Canadian Folk Music Awards.   \nHailing from the salt-kissed town of Saint Andrews\, NB\, Claira Blanchard is an 18-year-old singer-songwriter who writes like she’s gently handing you a flower with one hand and stealing your breath with the other. Her lyrics drift in soft and whimsical\, then sharpen just when you’re not looking\, a habit shaped by personal stories and influences like Joni Mitchell\, Rose Cousins\, and James Taylor. She first captured listeners in 2023 on the Paddlefest stage with Rose Cousins and has since been playing festivals throughout New Brunswick. Claira’s melodies are warm; balancing tenderness\, and her and unmistakable raw sound. With each song\, she builds a world that feels half-dreamed\, half-familiar\, and wholly sincere. \nTickets
