DESCRIPTION:The Chebucto Orchestral Society of Nova Scotia is proud to present our 45th Annual Messiah from Scratch\, a beloved Halifax holiday tradition that brings singers\, instrumentalists\, and community together through music.\nJoin us for an engaging afternoon as we rehearse and perform Handel’s Messiah in a single day. Participants will rehearse in separate chorus and orchestra sessions from 1:00–3:00 PM\, followed by a performance at 3:30 PM. This event is open to all singers and instrumentalists who wish to take part in this inspiring and collaborative musical experience. \nArtistic Team and Soloists\nMusic Director: Melissa Doiron\nBrittany Cann\, soprano\nSarah Hope\, alto and piccolo trumpet\nJordan Gracie\, tenor\nJon-Paul Decosse\, bass\nGarth MacPhee\, Choir Rehearsal Director and Piano Accompanist \nScores will be available with a $10 deposit\, and there is a $10 participation fee. All proceeds from the event will support Feed Nova Scotia.\nWe invite you to be part of this meaningful holiday tradition—making music together while giving back to our community.
