Jazz Vespers

Please join us for this month’s Jazz Vespers, an opportunity to quiet external distractions and inner chatter through readings, prayers and the music of Geordie Haley and Lukas Pearce.

With more than 25 years of presenting and performing original music guitarist, composer, improviser and educator Geordie Haley has been a featured artist in concert in various Maritime music festivals. He heads the Guitar program at the NSCC Waterfront Music Arts Department and has been teaching at the Maritime Conservatory since 2009.

Lukas Pearce is an acoustic, electric and digital musician and sound artist with professional experience in a wide array of genres and creative forms. He has served as the Artistic Director of the Upstream Music Association, as well as presenting the annual Open Waters Festival of New and Improvised Music. He has taught both privately and through the artist-run Centre For Art Tapes, Dalhousie University Music, and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design Film Department.
